There is a book review of "Gallipoli" written by Robin Prior on today's WSJ. I believe that is what the song "And The Band Played Waltzing Mathilda" was describing. Maybe it is something worth reading for the summer.

For those of you with a little less time, the 1981 Peter Weir film of the same title is quite good. A cult favorite among long-distance runners.
